Therapy

At Feel Good, we offer therapy for people who are experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, including depression and anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, childhood abuse, addictions, and codependency, among others. Patients who require medical social work are encouraged to connect to Feel Good.

Populations we frequently serve include children, couples, families, Latinos, military personnel, LGBTQIA+, people with disabilities, and others from various cultural and individual backgrounds.

Works For You

At Feel Good, we offer a safe nonjudgmental space for you to talk about anything that is overwhelming you or even just making life extra tough. Your perspective of your experience is essential. We will work together to develop a plan to confront your challenges and achieve an improved quality of life.

Therapy is a unique experience for each person as it is tailored to your needs. Therapeutic approaches, treatment goals, and expectations during the therapeutic process are all based on what you need in order to succeed in eliminating or controlling concerning difficulties so that you can function better.

The overall goal is to help you do the work that needs to be done in your personal life so as to increase a sense of well-being and healing.

If you are recently experiencing a change in what you think are your typical eating, sleeping, and socializing patterns, these can be signs that you might want to consider therapy. If you are having a hard time enjoying the things that usually make you happy, your relationships are not being taken care of, you feel your emotions are out of control, and your unhealthy habbits have become unmanageable, then pershaps it’s time to consider going to a mental health professional. 

At Feel Good, we use your cultural and subcultural experiences as part of the healing process. A multi-systemic approach in evaluating and working with you and your strengths and areas of need will guide our practice.

Studying natural medicine to improve my own health outcomes and quality of life has shown me how proper nutrition is an essential part of wellness and mental health. This is one of many personal life journeys that have taught me how essential it is to meet our basic needs of health, shelter, and safety, among others, in order to be in a space that fosters our ability to focus on our mental health.

Having the experience of challenges in navigating very difficult intersections between cultures and minority experiences and drawing from these experiences has been pivotal in the therapeutic process.

The therapeutic approach that we commonly utilize is strengths based and  solutions focused. We tailor our therapeutic modalities to your needs.

Today, we are challenged with a multitude of barriers and it takes understanding of the intersectionality and overall interconnected nature of these varying lived challenges to provide perspective that allows us to address the root cause of problems and barriers to care. 

At Feel Good, this is our expertise. Having personally experienced the challenges of navigating these intersections along with the professional toolset to give us a road map for our journey is what allows Feel Good Therapy to better help you through your roadblocks.
